For complete instructions and a list of ingredients for this….. scroll down to the recipe card at the bottom of this page.
1. Microwave the sugar and butter until melted. Some granules will be there. Whisk until you get a glossy coating.
2. While the sugar mixture is dolling, mix together your dry ingredients until combined. Set aside.
3. After sugar mixture has slightly cooled you are going to beat in one egg at a time. After the last egg has been added, you’re going to whisk for about 2 minutes.
4. Mix in the vanilla and Nutella until combined.
5. Gently fold in the dry ingredients.
6. Pour into prepared pan. Scatter some chocolate hazelnut spread over the top, and swirl it around with a skewer or knife.
6. Bake for about 30 minutes at 350 degrees
Tips for making the best Nutella brownies
1. Do not over mix after adding dry ingredients: The fastest route towards unsatisfactory brownies is by over mixing the batter. Over mixing will active the gluten in the flour, and will result in dry, dense brownies.
2. Parchment paper is your friend: Line your pan with parchment paper. Your brownie will slide right out of that pan with ease if you use parchment paper. It also means no messy pans.
3. Don’t over bake your brownies: In fact, you can take them out of the oven when there is a little bit of batter on the tooth pick you inserted. they will continue to bake as they coo. This way, you get amazingly yummy fudgy brownies.
FAQS
How do I achieve that shines crackle too brownies are famous for?
To get that shiny crackle top brownies are famous for, you will want to add eggs to the butter-sugar mixture, and then whisk for about 2 minutes. Whisking the eggs is what will make your brownies sparkle and crackle!
What if I underbake the brownies too much and only notice it after they have cooled?
If they are a bit raw and didn’t notice until they were completely cooled, you can easily save them. Stick them in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes. Just until they have firmed up a bit. So, when you pass a knife through them, they won’t all come apart. Take a very sharp knife dipped in hot water (wiped dry) and cut the brownies into squares. Now separate them, and instead of sticking the whole thing back into the oven, you will only bake the undercooked pieces. Attempting to bake the whole thing will only dry out the parts that have baked properly. You can do this either individually as you eat them, or bake the only raw pieces all at once.

Description
Super moist, fudgy brownies made with a generous amount of Nutella!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs, room temperature
- 2/3 cup Nutella + 1/3 cup for the swirls
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flower
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line an 8×8 inch pan with parchment paper
- Mix together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt until combined. Set aside
- Microwave the butter and sugar together in 30-second increments mixing after each time. Don’t let the mixture bubble. Some sugar granules will remain, the goal is to achieve a glossy surface.
- Allow mixture to cool slightly, then beat in one egg at a time, whisking between each addition. Whisk until the mixture lightens in color, about 2 minutes
- Add in the 2/3 cups of Nutella and vanilla, and mix well
- Pour batter into the prepared pan. Next, drop the Nutella on top using a tablespoon. Use a skewer or butter knife to create swirls. Don’t over swirl! You will want to achieve large ribbons of Nutella.
- Bake for approximately 30 minutes, testing for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center of the brownies. You’ll know it’s ready when the edges are set, but a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out with a little brownie batter on it.
- Allow to completely cool before slicing it into 9-16 brownies.
