I’ve never met a pear I didn’t like! These roasted pears are simple, easy to prepare and can be matched with other elelmets like icecream and even crumbly blue cheese! Ok, now I need to make that too! đ
I had no idea the myriad of ways one can prepare fruits and veggies. I grew up in a meat-n-potato-beef-stew kind of family and never new much about other cuisines until I moved to NYC.
So, I stick to my upbringing by holding onto the concept of simple meals, and then add my own yummy spin. I value keeping recipes simple, fresh and minimal. Oh, and FUN!
I love this pear recipe! Next, I am going to prepare these with maple syrup and crumbly blue cheese melted over the top. Offering up a sweet AND savory dish. Who knows. Maybe I’ll even add a smidge of cayenne pepper too. The possibilities are endless!

Cinnamon Honey Roasted Pears
- Total Time: 40 Minutes
- Yield: 8 1x
Description
Roasted pears brushed with a cinnamon honey glaze.
Ingredients
- 4 Bosc pears
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425° F
- Slice a piece off the bottom of the pears so that the pear can easily stand up. Cut the pears in half and remove the seeds.
- Place the halved pears open-face up on a parchment paper lined baking sheet and roast for 15 minutes
- While the pears bake, combine the walnuts, honey and cinnamon in the small bowl.
- Remove pears from oven and coat the top with the cinnamon honey mixture. Save the the extra cinnamon honey for later.
- Roast for 5-10 minutes longer until soft to the touch.
- Serve with vanilla ice cream, fresh whipped cream and drizzle of the left over cinnamon honey.
Notes
- Before the second bake, glaze with the cinnamon honey and sprinkle on crumbly blue cheese for a savory element. You can also try sharp cheddar cheese too!
- You can use any pear. I prefer a bosc pear because to me it’s more stable and won’t come out mushy. Nothing wrong with warm mushy pears though!
