Hibiscus Lemon Iced Tea

A cool and refreshing burst of yum! The perfect beverage to drink on its own or with a shot of your favorite vodka.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 Cup dried hibiscus flowers or tea bags
  • Juice of 3 lemons
  • 1/4 cup of sugar (or no sugar)
  • Lemon slices, rosemary sprigs or fresh mint leaves

Instructions

Take a medium sized sauce pan, fill halfway with water and boil.

Add dried hibiscus flowers.

Steep the dried hibiscus flowers for 5 minutes

Run the hibiscus flower tea through a strainer to remove all the flowers

Let the hibiscus concentrate cool down

Add the hibiscus water to a pitcher

Fill the pitcher with water just enough to leave room for ice

Garnish with lemon slices, sprigs of rosemary or mint leaves

For an extra treat, add a shot or two of cranberry vodka!

Notes

This tea is prepared how you like it. You can make the tea stronger or weaker depending on your preferences. You can make a whole pot of hibiscus flower tea and store it in the refrigerator. To add caffien, steep black tea with the hibiscus flower.
