Just wow. Just delicious. Just just!
The more I create a recipe, the more I gravitate towards a ” less is best” attitude. This mousse and whipped coconut milk has very few ingredients and yet tastes amazing. Avocado is that one FRUIT, yes it’s a fruit, that you wouldn’t typically associate as being the main ingredient in a dessert mousse. But wow! SO GOOD!
Choosing to eat healthier in today’s world can be so complicated. And not easy! So, why not attempt to uncomplicate things by preparing meals that involve few ingredients and no artificial flavors.
I know, easier said than done. YES in theory it sounds easy, but how do you actually execute this way of eating? Well, slowly and with a heap loads of patience. Remember, changing the way you eat isn’t an over night process. Sometimes learning how to eat healthy can take a long time.
But the most important part of eating healthy is figuring out what works for you.

- 1/4 Cup unsweetened cocao powder
- 1/2 Cup Agave syrup

Whipped Coconut Cream
- 1 Can unsweetened coconut cream, full fat
- 1/4 Teaspoon Vanilla
- 2 Tablespoons Agave syrup (or confectioners sugar)
Instructions
Mousse
- Cut avocados in half and scoop out each side into the bowl of a food processor. Discard the skins and seeds. Set aside.
- Pour chocolate chips into a heat safe bowl. Place the bowl of chocolate chips over a pot with simmering hot water (bowl not touching the water) and stir until chocolate chips have completely melted.
- Add the melted chocolate chips, cocao powder, agave syrup and cinnamon to the avocado in the food processor and puree on high until smooth and creamy. No lumps.
- Scoop into serving dishes and chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.
Whipped Coconut Cream
- You’ll want to prepare this when you are ready to serve the mousse.
- Chill a can of coconut cream in the refrigerator over night. Open the can of cocout cream and remove only the top part of the coconut cream and place it in a mixing bowl. Do not use the liquid part. You can use that for other recipes such as smoothies.
- With a hand mixer, beat until the cream becomes light and fluffy. Approximately 3-5 minutes.
- Top with your favorite berries!
- Serve immediately.
