Hey, I’m Gregory!
Welcome to Craving The Yum! My world of passionate yummy home cooking, food blogging, and visual storytelling.
I got into food blogging for so many reasons. the journey began after I was diagnosis with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2016 and the painful chemotherapy that followed. When my relationship with food got more complicated than it already was.
The main catalyst that set everything in motion, was the Covid-19 pandemic. When isolation, uncertainty and missing creative outlets forced me to take a hard long look at the direction of my life.
Before the pandemic hit, my aspiration was to become a psychotherapist. A master’s program had been chosen and recommendation letters were being written. It was all mapped out. However, after the events that unfolded during 2020, I was compelled to reevaluate my life.
My passion for psychotherapy was no longer a strong fire in my heart. I was craving something I could put the skills, education and creative gifts that I accumulated over the years to good use. After many many months of brainstorming Craving The Yum was born!
